Sheila Finlayson osteopath principal qualified From her four year course at the ESO course in 1989 becoming a registered osteopath. She worked for other osteopaths gaining experience before setting up her own practice in Edinburgh and Thurso in 1991. She worked in Thurso and Edinburgh for four years before starting work in New Zealand where osteopathy is an integral part of the health system.
She chaired the ethics committee in New Zealand for Osteopaths.
She was a competitive surfer and bodyboarder in the representing Scotland in the British Irish European and World Masters. She last won the Scottish in 2005 (for the 10th time) and represented Scotland at the Eurosurfs in Morocco after placing 3rd in 2015 .
She also was a competitive rugby player playing for Edinburgh Accies for four seasons then Papmoa rugby club then upwards to provisional for two seasons playing for the Bay of Plenty she was trialled for both Scotland and New Zealand rugby teams.
Since returning to Scotland she has concentrated on being a mother and her family. She has built a practice and a multidisciplinary clinic which she is very proud of; they are an amazing team. She loves sneaking in the odd surf and trying to play the fiddle
